A newly-born foal was stolen from a farm in the south of Leicestershire this morning.
The animal was only about 12 hours old when it was taken between 5am and 9am today.
It was taken from an outbuilding at a farm on Gilmorton Road in Willoughby Waterleys, near Lutterworth.
Harborough Police say it needs much care and attention due to its age.
A police spokeswoman said: "The foal was reported missing at about 9.30am this morning."
Anyone with information is urged to call officers on 101.
