A female pedestrian was robbed and assaulted by two cyclists who grabbed at her valuables as they rode past her.
The 18-year-old victim was walking along Narborough Road , in Leicester's West End, near to the junction with Walton Street, at some time between 9.45pm and 10pm on Saturday, November 16.
Police said two men cycled past her and one of them snatched her white Samsung S4 mobile phone while the other attempted to steal her bag.
She held onto her handbag and she was elbowed in her face leaving her with a black eye.
The cyclists, both dressed in dark clothing, made off turning onto Ashleigh Road with the stolen mobile phone.
Detective Constable Natalie Allingham said: "The victim was very shaken by what happened but thankfully only received minor injuries.
"The victim can recall the road was still busy at this time of night so we are hoping that there is someone who may have witnessed the robbery or know the people responsible."
