Firefighters tackled a vehicle fire on the A6 near Birstall.
Crews from Birstall fire station were called to Loughborough Road (A6) at about 3.20pm.
A spokesman for the fire service said the fire was caused by an electrical fault with the engine.
The damage was reported as 100 per cent to the engine compartment.
The incident involved one car.
Area Traffic Control said the incident did not cause any delays to traffic.
