Police have cordoned off an area of Aikman Avenue, on Leicester's New Parks estate, after reports of an assault last night.
Blue police tape marked an area at the road's junction with Mossgate after the alleged incident, which is said to have taken place between 9.30pm and 9.45pm.
A woman who lives nearby said the incident is believed to have involved a 20-year-old man and a man aged 30-40.
