Fire fighters have been called to rescue a cow trapped in a ditch near Anstey.
Crews were called to the field next to the A50 shortly after 3pm.
They brought in specialist equipment to lift the animal from out of the mud.
They were helped by the farmer who used farm machinery to try to free the animal.
It had not been released after nearly two hours.
