Three motorists were trapped in their vehicles after a crash outside Twycross Zoo.
The accident happened shortly after 1pm today on the A444 and involved three vehicles.
Fire crews from Leicestershire and Warwickshire attended the crash, which closed the road in both directions for about three hours.
An air ambulance, paramedics and road ambulances were also called to the scene.
All three people were cut free from their vehicles by the firefighters.
Police said one person required hospital treatment and was taken to a hospital in Warwickshire with non-life-threatening injuries.
