A man is to appear in court charged with attempting to steal heating oil.
The suspect was arrested in Braunston-in-Rutland, near Oakham, in the early hours of yesterday morning.
He is alleged to have been carrying siphoning equipment and oil barrels.
The 26-year-old is due to appear at Loughborough Magistrates' Court next month charged with the offence of going equipped for theft.
He has been released on bail with a number of conditions, including that he must not enter Rutland or Leicestershire except to meet his legal representatives.
