Leicester's Mark Selby has won the UK Championship, beating Shaun Murphy 10-6 in the final at York's Barbican Centre.
Selby, 29, returns to the world number one ranking after losing the top spot to Judd Trump last month.
Last night's all-English final finished just a few minutes after midnight.
Speaking before the final Selby said that winning the UK Championship final would mean more to him than a return to the top of snooker's world rankings.
