A motorist is to appear in court charged with knocking down and killing a pregnant woman.
The 22-year-old man has been charged with causing the death of Paige Helen Jackson by dangerous driving in Leicester earlier this year.
Paige, 22, was knocked down and killed as she crossed Saffron Lane, Leicester on Saturday, February 15.
She was just weeks away from giving birth to her son, Rueben.
Doctors performed an emergency caesarean, but were unable to save Rueben, who was due to be born in May.
Police confirmed today that the man who was arrested in connection with the tragedy has been charged with causing the collision by driving his Volkswagen Jetta car dangerously.
He is due to appear at Leicester Magistrates' Court Friday, November 7. He is currently on police bail
