Police chased and arrested a half-naked man through a town's streets before cautioning him for possession of drugs.
Witnesses said the man was wearing only a T-shirt when he was arrested in south Avenue, Wigston yesterday.
He had been reported to police for causing a disturbance in nearby Launceston Road.
When officers arrived he is reported to have led them on a chase through a number of gardens.
A number of people's garden fences were damaged during the police pursuit, witnesses said.
A Leicestershire Police spokeswoman said officers were called to the area to investigate reports of a man causing a disturbance in nearby Launceston Road at 6.15pm.
A 23-year-old man who was arrested at the scene and was given a caution for possession of a class A drug, she added.
