Thousands of women will be taking part in the Race for Life at Leicester's Victoria Park today.
For a lot of the runners it will be emotional day as they make their way around the five or 10km route in memory of someone they have lost to cancer or to mark their own battle with the disease.
The 5km event starts at 10.30am and the 10km run begins at 2pm, with the runners aiming to raise thousands of pounds for Cancer Research UK.
Participants can expect good weather today, with forecasters predicting a dry day with sunny spells, a slight risk of showers and temperatures reaching up to 19C.
