Leicestershire is putting Barcelona, Ibiza and Cannes in the shade today, with glorious sunshine and temperatures hitting the mid-20s.
The Met Office showed the thermometer hitting an average of 22C (72F) in the city, while the Leicester Mercury thermometer recorded a high of 27C (81F) earlier this afternoon.
The sunshine and blue skies are expected to stick around tomorrow, but will only be here for the weekend.
Rain is forecast for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
A spokesman for the Met Office said it would stay dry overnight, while tomorrow will be "dry and very warm once again, with further sunny spells."
