An armed robber threatened petrol station staff with a knife before escaping with cash from the till.
The raider targeted the Shell service station in Bardon Road, Coalville shortly before 2am earlier this month.
The cashier was not inured.
Police today released CCTV image of a man they want to trace.
Detective constable Luke Brooks said: "Please have a look at this image and get in touch if you recognise the man in it.
"We believe he has information which will help us with our inquiries."
The suspect is white, 5ft ins to 5ft 10ins and of medium build. He was wearing a bright yellow beanie hat which appeared to have black writing on it, a black three-quarter length jacket, grey tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.
