Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to after an alleged racist incident in a shop in Leicester.
A man is suspected of racially abusing and assaulting a store assistant in the shop Humberstone Gate. During the incident the shop assistant was struck on the arm.
The suspect is black, in his mid to late-20s, of stocky build with short dark hair. He was wearing a black jacket which had a grey hood. He was with a white woman with tied back blonde curly hair who was aged about 50 and wore a grey coat.
The incident happened at about 12.40pm on Saturday November 9. Police have just released details of the incident.
Pc Jefferson Pritchard said: "I would ask people to take a moment to look at the CCTV image and see if you recognise the man pictured.
"If it is you, or you know who he is, please get in contact. Your information could help towards the ongoing investigation."
