Leicester City will show no fear when they take on Manchester City at the King Power Stadium, manager Nigel Pearson has vowed.
City will start as big underdogs in tonight's Capital One Cup quarter-final (7.45).
They take on a Manchester City side which has recently beaten European champions Bayern Munich in Germany and dispatched Premier League leaders Arsenal in emphatic fashion on Saturday.
However, Pearson, pictured, said despite the undoubted strength of the visitors, City will adopt the sort of positive approach which saw them knock Fulham out of the competition in the last round.
Tonight's game is a sell-out and the City boss said his players should embrace the big occasion.
"We shouldn't have fear playing against them," said Pearson.
"You clearly have to respect them and we certainly won't be favourites.
"When a side like Man City beats the league leaders at the weekend, one or two people may be thinking it is a forgone conclusion.
"We have to go out and make sure it is a proper cup tie. In cup ties, anything can happen.
"Whatever side they field will be very strong, and they proved that by how they have rotated their squad.
"They have plenty of depth in the squad and we have to go into the game with a positive mind-set about ourselves, as we always do.
"We have to be at our best. We have worked hard to earn this tie and I can't see any reason why we can't go out there and try to enjoy it.
"We are not daft and know they are a very good side, but I don't think we should go into this game with anything other than high expectations of ourselves to make life difficult for them. If we do that, who knows?"
Pearson will have no new injury concerns. Jamie Vardy picked up a shoulder injury and has an foot problem but is expected to be available.
City's absentees are Chris Wood (hamstring), Sean St Ledger (groin) and Tom Hopper (shin).
