Three people were treated for smoke inhalation after a kitchen fire in a flat in the city this afternoon.
Two crews from Leicester's central fire station were called to the four-storey property in Ashleigh Road, off Narborough Road just after 2.30pm.
A Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "All the occupants were out when we arrived.
"Three people suffering from the effects of smoke inhalation were treated by ambulance paramedics.
"The fire was located in the kitchen area of a third floor flat and the cause was an unattended pan on the stove."
