Police are searching for a dog owner whose pet bit a woman on her leg.
The dog, which is thought to be a cross between a collie and a German Shepherd, bit the woman while it was tied up outside the Co-Op, in High Street Barrow Upon Soar.
The incident happened at 6pm on Friday, November 1. Police released details and appealed for witnesses today.
Pc Sirel said: "The owner of the dog was last seen walking down High Street towards Barrow Road.
"I would appeal to this man, or to anyone who thinks they may know who the owner is to contact me.
"I would also like to trace a couple who were behind the victim when this incident happened.
"I believe they could have witnessed what happened and could have information which will help with our enquiry."
The owner of the dog is white, in his late-40s or early-50s, approximately 5ft 5ins. He was unshaven and has short brown hair and was wearing a fluorescent vest over his jacket.
The dog is thought to be a cross between a collie and a German Shepherd. It was on a brown leather lead.
