A cyclist in his 70s is in a serious but stable condition in hospital after he suffered head injuries in a collision in South Wigston.
The man was airlifted to hospital in Coventry after he fell from his electrically assisted cycle in Station Road.
He struck his head on the kerb after a collision with a woman walking her dog at Sunday lunchtime.
A police spokesperson said: "The man is being treated in hospital for non-life threatening injuries. His condition is serious but stable."
She said the woman pedestrian was taken to hospital but went home after treatment for minor injuries
