New Leicester City signing Marcin Wasilewski may have to wait to make his Leicester City debut as the club is waiting on international clearance.
The 33-year-old signed a one-year contract this week after joining City as a free agent, but City have yet to be given permission for him to join the squad to face Blackpool on Saturday.
Manager Nigel Pearson said at this morning's press conference that he feels the Poland international is physical ready to make his City debut sooner rather than later, once they get the green light.
"It will take however long it takes and I don't know how long it can take for this red tape to be sorted, but I don't think we will have the clearance in time for the weekend," said Pearson.
"But he is in good shape physically. He looks after himself and he has been training with us so I don't think that will be too much of a problem."
City have no new injury concerns ahead of the trip to Bloomfield Road on Saturday.
Only defender Sean St Ledger will be missing as he continues to recover from a knee injury.
