A young woman from Leicestershire was killed when the motorcycle she was riding was involved in an accident on the northbound carriageway of the M1.
The incident took place at around 10.50pm on Sunday between Junctions 16 and 17 north of Northampton.
The collision involved a white Yamaha R6 being ridden by a 29-year-old woman, from Leicestershire, who died at the scene.
Police officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have any information regarding it.
They would specifically like to speak to anyone who may have seen the machine, and another motorbike, a multi-coloured Yamaha R1, as well as a grey Nissan GT-R, which were all travelling northbound before to the collision.
