Arsonists set fire to an outhouse next to a maisonette in Eyres Monsell on Thursday evening.
Firefighters were called to the scene in Sturdee Road at 8.48pm.
The doors of the outhouse were destroyed. The fire did not spread to the maisonette and no-one was injured.
The fire service said the fire was started deliberately,
