Staff at a Leicester engineering factory had to be evacuated from the building when fire broke out in the workshop early today.
The alarm was raised at 12.20am at the Trelleborg Industrial AVS unit in Hoods Close on the Bursome Industrial Estate.
Fire crews wearing breathing apparatus tackled the blaze which had been caused by an overheated motor on a piece of machinery.
Damage was restricted to the machine and nearby machinery was damaged by smoke.
A fire service spokeswoman said: "Staff were evacuated from the building which was badly smoke logged. No-one was injured."
Fire crews remained on site for two hours damping down.
