Police officers and paramedics were called to Marlborough Square in Coalville this afternoon after an elderly man was involved in a collision with a car.
Police responded to the incident at 4.25pm and East Midlands Ambulance Service paramedics were also at the scene.
A spokeswoman for Leicestershire Police said the victim was described as elderly, but did not know what injuries he suffered or what condition he was in.
Police were on the scene for about an hour.
