A motorcycle rider has died after a crash on a Leicestershire road yesterday.
Anantkumar Morjaria, 51, of Leicester, was pronounced dead at the scene following the collision in Melton Road, Lowesby, at about 10.15am.
He was riding a yellow Ducati M900 motorcycle which was travelling northbound towards the village of Lowesby, when his vehicle collided with a tree.
Officers from Leicestershire Police's serious collision unit are appealing for witnesses to the collision.
Detective Constable Paul Bingham, the investigating officer, said: "We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who saw the distinctive motorcycle being ridden before the incident to call us."
