Four men arrested over death of Hayley Pointon are released on bail

Four men arrested in connection with the murder of a mother-of-two in Hinckley have been released on police bail. Hayley Pointon, 30, from Coventry, died after an incident at an address in Sunnydale Road at about 10.45pm on Sunday February 3. A post mortem examination confirmed she died from a single gun shot wound. Four men, aged 24, 25, 29 and 30, were arrested from the Coventry area yesterday morning (Monday, March 4). They were questioned by detectives before being released on bail last night. It brings the total number of men currently on bail in connection with this investigation to six. Two men, aged 29 and 34, were arrested in the days following the murder. Detective Chief Inspector Tony Yarwood, is leading the investigation, he said: "Our enquiries in to the incident are very much ongoing. "The investigation into Hayley's death still continues to be our priority and we will not stop until we have brought those responsible to justice. "Two young children have lost their mother and Hayley's family are desperate for anyone with information to come forward and they, like us, believe someone out there can help. "It isn't always easy coming to the police and maybe some people feel there may be repercussions if they do.
